La mort de Willy Ngoma était déjà confirmée dans la matinée, neutralisé lors d’une frappe de drone des Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo.
À 21h précises ce même jour, une nouvelle information majeure est venue bouleverser l’équation militaire : Sultani Makenga a succombé à ses blessures.

En quelques heures, l’ossature militaire et communicationnelle de la rébellion AFC/M23 vient d’être brisée.
