Christelle Vuanga désignée à la tête de la Commission Droits de l’Homme et Justice internationale de PGA : une voix congolaise au cœur du combat contre l’impunité

La députée nationale Christelle Vuanga franchit un nouveau cap sur la scène parlementaire internationale. Elle vient d’être désignée Coordinatrice de la Commission Droits de l’Homme et Justice internationale du nouveau Comité exécutif de Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA), un réseau parlementaire international engagé notamment aux côtés de la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) dans la promotion de la justice internationale et la lutte contre l’impunité.
Une responsabilité qui dépasse largement le cadre d’une fonction honorifique. Elle place désormais une parlementaire congolaise au cœur des réflexions et des actions internationales consacrées aux droits humains, à la justice, à la protection des victimes et à la consolidation de la paix.
Réagissant à cette désignation, Christelle Vuanga affiche une posture à la hauteur de la mission qui lui est confiée. Elle entend placer son mandat au service des victimes et de leur droit à obtenir justice et réparation.
« Je place ce mandat sous le signe de la défense des victimes, de leur droit à la justice et à la réparation, ainsi que de la promotion de la paix et du règlement pacifique des conflits. Une responsabilité que j’accueille avec humilité et détermination. »
Une déclaration qui donne le ton. Pour Christelle Vuanga, cette nouvelle responsabilité ne semble pas devoir être considérée comme une consécration personnelle, mais comme un instrument supplémentaire au service d’une cause universelle : celle de la dignité humaine et de la lutte contre l’impunité.
Dans un monde encore traversé par les conflits, les violences et les crises humanitaires, la question de la justice internationale demeure intimement liée à celle de la paix. Car lorsqu’une victime n’est ni entendue, ni reconnue, ni réparée, les blessures du conflit peuvent survivre longtemps après la fin des violences.
C’est précisément dans cet espace que cette nouvelle mission prend tout son relief.
À travers la Commission Droits de l’Homme et Justice internationale de PGA, Christelle Vuanga sera appelée à contribuer aux échanges et initiatives parlementaires portant sur la promotion des droits humains, la justice internationale et la responsabilité face aux crimes les plus graves.
Pour la République démocratique du Congo, cette désignation revêt une résonance particulière. Elle offre à une voix parlementaire congolaise une nouvelle tribune internationale pour porter les préoccupations liées aux victimes et rappeler, dans les espaces où se construit la pensée internationale, une évidence souvent douloureuse : la paix véritable ne peut être bâtie sur l’effacement de la mémoire des victimes, pas plus que la justice ne peut être dissociée de leur dignité.
L’enjeu sera désormais de transformer cette confiance internationale en action, avec la même détermination que celle affichée au moment d’accueillir cette responsabilité.
Christelle Vuanga ouvre ainsi une nouvelle page de son engagement : celle où une voix parlementaire congolaise entend contribuer, au-delà des frontières, à faire de la justice un chemin vers la paix et de la défense des victimes une exigence universelle.
