Le monde universitaire congolais s’apprête à vivre un nouveau rendez-vous consacré à la recherche scientifique. Le Professeur Paul René Lohata, Secrétaire général académique de l’Université Libre de Kinshasa (ULK), porte aux fonds baptismaux, ce vendredi 14 août 2026 à l’Université Libre de Kinshasa, son 18ᵉ ouvrage, intitulé Les principaux thèmes de science politique.
Cette nouvelle publication vient enrichir une œuvre scientifique déjà importante et témoigne de la régularité du professeur dans la production et la transmission des connaissances. À travers ce livre, l’auteur poursuit son engagement en faveur du développement de la recherche universitaire en République démocratique du Congo.
Un ouvrage consacré aux grands thèmes de la science politique
Intitulé Les principaux thèmes de science politique, ce nouvel ouvrage s’inscrit au cœur d’une discipline qui occupe une place centrale dans la compréhension des sociétés contemporaines.
À travers les différents thèmes abordés, le livre s’intéresse aux grandes questions qui structurent la science politique et permettent d’analyser les phénomènes liés au pouvoir, à l’État, aux institutions, à la gouvernance et aux rapports entre les différents acteurs de la vie politique.
L’ouvrage entend ainsi constituer une contribution à la littérature scientifique congolaise et un support utile pour les étudiants, chercheurs et enseignants intéressés par les sciences politiques et sociales.
Le 18ᵉ ouvrage d’un parcours scientifique prolifique
La publication de ce livre intervient dans la continuité d’une production scientifique particulièrement soutenue. Le Professeur Paul René Lohata compte désormais 18 ouvrages, une performance qui traduit une longue constance dans l’enseignement, la recherche et la réflexion scientifique.
Son 17ᵉ ouvrage avait été porté aux fonds baptismaux en septembre dernier à l’École doctorale de l’ISTM. Quelques mois plus tard, l’auteur revient avec une nouvelle publication consacrée cette fois aux principaux thèmes de la science politique.
Cette succession de publications illustre la place qu’occupe la recherche dans son parcours académique et sa volonté de contribuer, par ses travaux, à l’enrichissement du savoir universitaire en République démocratique du Congo.
Des sciences administratives à la science politique
Le parcours scientifique du Professeur Lohata est notamment marqué par ses travaux dans le domaine des sciences administratives, qu’il aborde dans une perspective interdisciplinaire.
Formé en sciences sociales à l’Université Jules Verne de Picardie à Amiens, en France, et encadré notamment par le Professeur Jacques Chevallier, il a progressivement développé une expertise dans plusieurs domaines des sciences sociales, avec un intérêt particulier pour les questions administratives, politiques et institutionnelles.
Son nouvel ouvrage consacré à la science politique s’inscrit donc dans la continuité de cette trajectoire intellectuelle et vient élargir davantage le champ de sa production scientifique.
La recherche scientifique au cœur de son engagement
Au-delà de la publication d’un nouveau livre, ce 18ᵉ ouvrage traduit une conception de l’université fondée sur la recherche, la production du savoir et sa transmission aux nouvelles générations.
